In Her Own WordsA Journey Guided by Purpose
"Stella Maris," Latin for Star of the Sea, is a title long associated with the Blessed Mother Mary. For centuries, sailors looked to the stars for direction and entrusted Mary to guide them safely through uncertain waters to guide them safely home in their journeys. Inspired by this tradition, Stella Maris Wealth was founded on a simple belief: financial guidance should provide clarity, confidence, and peace amid life's many decisions and transitions.
There are seasons in every life when the path ahead feels uncertain. Markets fluctuate. Retirement draws near. A loved one passes away. A business is sold. Children leave home. During those moments, we long for someone we can trust to help guide us with wisdom, purpose, and peace.
That desire for trusted guidance is the inspiration behind Stella Maris Wealth.
Long before Stella Maris Wealth existed, God was quietly preparing my own journey. I was born and raised in Indonesia before moving to Australia as a 16 year old. Soon afterward, I was blessed with the opportunity to come to the United States on full athletic scholarships to compete in NCAA Division I tennis while earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Tennessee at Martin and later an MBA in Finance from California State University, Fullerton.
My career began in corporate finance in Silicon Valley, where I enjoyed analyzing budgets, forecasting results, and transforming raw data into meaningful insights. I was fascinated by uncovering the "why" behind the numbers and the stories they told.
Yet over time, I found myself asking a deeper question about my own "why." What was God calling me to do with the gifts and talents He had entrusted to me? I began praying for a career where I could genuinely help people—not simply earn a living, but make a lasting difference in their lives.
Becoming a wife—and especially becoming a mother—changed my life.
Like many working parents, I experienced both the joy of welcoming my first son into the world and the ache of leaving him each morning to return to work. Those quiet evenings rocking him to sleep became moments of gratitude, reflection, and prayer.
During that season, for the first time, His love was no longer merely something I believed—it was something I had experienced. I quietly promised Him that whatever gifts and talents He had entrusted to me, I wanted to use them to serve others and give Him glory.
In time, those prayers were answered in an unexpected way. Financial planning became more than a career—it became my vocation.
Today, I view financial advising as an act of stewardship. I believe every family has been entrusted with unique gifts, opportunities, and resources—not simply to accumulate wealth, but to care for those they love, bless others through generosity, and leave a meaningful legacy.
As an independent fiduciary, I have the privilege of serving individuals, retirees, business owners, women, widows, and multigenerational families throughout the United States. I am especially passionate about helping both spouses become confident participants in financial decisions and empowering women to feel informed, engaged, and confident about their financial future.
Financial planning is about far more than investments. Whether I'm helping a family prepare for retirement, guiding a widow through life's next chapter, or assisting a business owner with succession planning, my desire is to provide wisdom, clarity, and peace through every season of life.
Outside the office, my greatest joy is my family. My husband, JJ, and I have been married since 2009 and are blessed with two wonderful sons, Trey and Rhys. We are active parishioners at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Taylors, South Carolina, and when I'm not meeting with clients, you'll usually find me reading, cooking, cheering on my boys at their sporting events, or volunteering in our local community.
It is a privilege to walk alongside the families I serve as they steward the resources God has entrusted to them. My hope is that, through every season of life, Stella Maris Wealth provides the wisdom, clarity, and trusted guidance families need to navigate life's uncertainties with confidence, peace, and purpose. That is the mission of Stella Maris Wealth—and the calling that continues to inspire me every day.
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." — Colossians 3:23
