Katrina Whitlinger

Katrina founded Stella Maris Wealth after over 15 years of combined experience working in corporate finance and financial services industry. Katrina started her career after graduate school in 2008, working for High Tech companies in Silicon Valley. In her various roles working in Corporate Finance, she was passionate in improving processes to drive efficiency; and one of her gifts she put into practice was turning raw data into meaningful metrics to help improve business units grow.

In the last 7 years, Katrina has found her life calling helping individual clients with their financial goals. Katrina is passionate in helping people not only ‘to get where they are today to where they want to go’ but to also help her clients navigate fears and maintain a healthy perspective when it comes to investing. She believes that investing takes faith, and her goal is for her clients to have ‘peace’ when it comes to money.

With her growth mindset and passion for continuous learning, Katrina has earned the ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), CEPA (Certified Exit Planning Advisor), and AAMS (Accredited Asset Management Specialist).

Brian Boughner

Principal of Fiduciary Alliance

Brian began his investment career in 1999 right at the very top of the biggest stock bull market. During his career, he has helped his clients successfully manage their investments through the 9/11 terrorist attack, 2 equity bear markets, a housing bust, a credit implosion, and the COVID Pandemic. He has built his career on the foundation that how well you manage your investment returns during the market downturns will ultimately determine your long-term performance. As a co-founder of Fiduciary Alliance, Brian enjoys communicating and helping clients understand the very complex and dynamic changes that affect our economy and markets daily. Brian is a Florida State University graduate, a CFA charterholder, and a Chartered Market Technician.

Brian is married to Jeanne Boughner and they have a 21-year-old daughter, Selah and 10-year-old son, Noah. They attend The Village Church in Greenville and are very active in the community. Brian’s involvement includes: Leadership Greenville, board trustee of the South Carolina Children’s Theatre and Project Host. Jeanne is an IT project manager for DPR Construction and serves on the board of East Link Academy, a charter school. Brian enjoys the outdoors and regularly bikes, runs, and backpacks the mountain trails here in the southeast. He is also very passionate about the upstate art scene and has performed in productions at many of the local theaters.

Victoria Latham

Chief Compliance Officer

Victoria graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Double Major in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and Criminal Justice in 2013. Since graduation she has worked in a variety of professional roles such as an Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Specialist and a Police Officer. Prior to leaving Virginia, she worked as a Product Quality Analyst for Allianz Partners, ensuring insurance policy compliance for Travel, Event, and Tuition. Victoria joined Fiduciary Alliance in March of 2019 as a Client Service Manager and is now Director of Operations. From her previous experiences, she aims to bring the same dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence to meet and assist with the firm’s client and operational needs. Victoria is married to Dr. Amauri Latham, who works as a resident physician in the MedPeds Department at Prisma Health. Victoria’s community service work has included Rise Against Hunger, Richmond Food Bank, and Angel Tree – Salvation Army Central VA. Outside of work, she enjoys playing the piano, ukulele, gardening, painting, and biking with her husband.

Abby Schilz

Relationship Manager

Abby grew up in Milwaukee, WI and relocated to Greenville, SC in September of 2020. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a double major in Mathematics and Economics in 2016. Before joining Parallel Financial in April of 2022, Abby spent the first six years of her career in the employer benefits consulting space with Willis Towers Watson. There, she worked on a variety of different projects including developing client strategies, vendor management, running RFPs, developing premium rates for clients, and projecting IBNRs. She also passed three actuarial exams and currently holds her Life, Accident and Health Insurance license. In her free time, Abby enjoys staying active by going to the gym, running, or exploring the many beautiful hiking trails in the Greenville area. She also loves playing the piano, singing, and cheering on her favorite Wisconsin sports teams.

Emily Edwards

Director of Client Experience & Engagement

Emily is an accomplished financial professional with a passion for serving her clients. She graduated from Clemson University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Emily began her career in financial services as an intern at a wealth management firm in Seneca, SC, where she discovered her true passion for helping clients navigate their financial goals. This led her to pursue a full-time career in the industry upon graduation. In 2020, Emily relocated to Greenville, SC, to further her career and expand her opportunities in financial services. She has since become deeply involved in the Upstate community, enjoying everything the area has to offer. Outside of work, Emily values spending time with friends and family. She enjoys expressing her creativity through arts and crafts and loves spending time outside running or hiking on the weekends. Emily actively contributes to the Greenville community by serving at Grace Church and Sterling School.
